Lockpicking doors and chests in Oblivion Remastered
So you are struggling and getting mad because lockpicking is making you frustrated, right? Let's see how to solve this!
The key (pun intended) to open chests and doors when picking a lock, is to check for the speed and set the tumbler on the slow movements, when the tumbler is at the top. You can do it even when it goes down fast, but that will be much harder and likely break your lockpick.
So, when you see that a tumbler is going down fast, try again and identify a pattern. If it goes down fast twice, probably the next time will be slow. When you see it is slow, you can set the tumbler on its place at the top.
This will make the minigame much easier!
You can also use the Auto attempt feature, but it is better to use it when you are at higher skill levels.

There is also one little trick that can help you: if you click a tumbler before it goes all the way down, its speed will not change, so you can basically choose the speed of each tumbler before you put them in place.
