Get a Dragon Slayer sword in Gothic 2
The Dragon Slayer swords are powerful weapons available to Dragon Hunters. This guide explains how to forge them.

Requirements
Before you can forge a Dragon Slayer sword, you must meet several requirements.
- You must be a member of the Dragon Hunter faction.
- Skill: You must learn the "Forge Dragon Hunter Swords" skill from Bennet, the blacksmith at Onar's farm. This becomes available in Chapter 4.
- Materials: You need the correct materials for the sword you wish to forge.
- Large Dragon Slayer (two-handed): 30 lumps of magic ore, 1 vial of dragon blood.
- Dragon Slayer (one-handed): 20 lumps of magic ore, 1 vial of dragon blood.
Forging the sword
Once you have met all the requirements, you can proceed with forging the sword.
- Heat the blade: Go to a forge and use it to heat a steel blade.
- With the heated blade, go to an anvil and use it. This will open the forging menu.
- Choose either the "Large Dragon Slayer" or "Dragon Slayer" from the list, provided you have the required materials, the sword will be forged soon after
Important Notes
- You can forge multiple Dragon Slayer swords as long as you have the necessary materials.
- Dragon blood is obtained by learning the "Take dragon blood" skill and looting the four living dragons in the Valley of Mines, see how to collect the blood of the dragons
- Magic ore can be found throughout the Valley of Mines and can also be purchased from some traders.
