Learning the skill

To get dragon blood, you must first learn the "Take dragon blood" skill. You cannot get blood from a dragon without having learned this skill first. It is taught by a few specific NPCs.

  • Godar: After you free him from the prison camp in the Valley of Mines, he will teach you the skill. He is located with the other prisoners near the pass to Khorinis.
  • Gestath: He is a Dragon Hunter located in a cave in the Valley of Mines. His cave is on a cliff path between the old swamp and the ice region.
  • Bennet: The blacksmith on Onar's farm. He will only teach you this skill if you are a member of the Dragon Hunter faction.

Learning the skill costs 5 learning points.

The process

Once you have learned the skill, the process of collecting the blood is automatic when you loot a dragon.

  1. Defeat a dragon: Kill one of the four dragons in the Valley of Mines (Fire Dragon, Ice Dragon, Stone Dragon, or Swamp Dragon).
  2. Loot the body: When you take items from the dragon's inventory, you will also find its blood

Important notes

  • You can only get blood from the four living dragons in the Valley of Mines. The Undead Dragon does not provide it.
  • You must learn the skill before you loot the dragon. If you loot a dragon without the skill, you will not get any blood from it, and you cannot go back to get it later.
  • You can also learn how to collect dragon scales
